SOFTWARE AND HARDWARE

                                     SOFTWARE
Software is a set of instruction that tells a  computer what to do.A computer works according to the given instruction in the software.Software cannot be touched.
EXAMPLES OF SOFTWARE:
There are two types of software
(1): SYSTEM SOFTWARE   (2): APPLICATION SOFTWARE
                                  SYSTEM SOFTWARE
System software (systems software) is computer software designed to operate and control the computer hardware and to provide a platform for running application software .  SYSTEM software can be separated into two different categories, operating systems and utility software.
Example of system software: Operating systems, disk cleaners,virus production etc.
                                       
                                     APPLICATION SOFTWARE  
Application software (an application) is a set of computer programs designed to permit the user to perform a group of coordinated functions, tasks, or activities. Application software cannot run on itself but is dependent on system software to execute.
Example of application software:Word processors, web design programs, spreadsheet programs etc.
                                  HARDWARE
The physical part of  a computer  are called hardware.The user can see and touch hardware.
Example of hardware: Mouse,monitor,keyboard,scanner,printer etc.
